Blitz HIIT is the brainchild of Edric Kennedy-Macfoy and Suzanne Nicol and is a collaboration of their expertise. Ed's background is in personal training and he owns Holistic Fitness Club, but saw a need for a “drive through” type exercise club. Suzanne is a busy Mum of three. This idea for this gym came about as they realised that access to exercise needs to be convenient and fit in with customer schedules, and that there were very few places offering these workouts in Somerset.

From there, Blitz HIIT was born!

Blitz HIIT is part of the Holistic Fitness Club, run by Ed. It is a great space for lengthier workouts with a unique approach integrating yogic flow and mindfulness training into traditional fitness regimes. Our new fitness facility is all about health and wellbeing. We believe that in order to lead a happy and balanced life, it is necessary to take care of both your physical and mental wellbeing. We have created a unique approach to High Intensity Interval training (HIIT), which we pair with constantly varied workouts programmed across the screens, ensuring that no two workouts are alike. Our equipment is up-to-date and our approach emphasizes maximising results and minimising time.

Moving to the local area from Vancouver, known for its emphasis on health and fitness, I've been yearning to be part of a community that values not only physical fitness but also overall well-being.

After quitting smoking, I decided to prioritise my health and embarked on a journey to lose weight, but my goal extends beyond mere numbers on a scale. I am a Malaysian who moved to the UK with my long-term British partner who I met years ago whilst she was living in Kuala Lumpur. I am hugely passionate about fitness, coaching and team sports.

My passion for fitness started when I was young. I represented my school in track and field and played football for college as well as making appearances at county level basketball league competitions. Using these skills, I even coached children on the Junior NBA programme throughout Malaysia and my love for basketball was so great.

Upon leaving college, I've entered the fitness industry and have never looked back! I love my job so much, because I get to use what I've learned (and am still learning, always) to help others navigate their own fitness journey, because I believe fitness is important for everyone to engage with to live a full and healthy life.

At 25 I was crippled by arthritis in my lower lumber.  The doctors told me it was chronic and wrote me a lifelong prescription for painkillers.  I didn't accept the prognosis and searched for a better solution.  I found it in the BASe system - Basic All-round Strength Effect - created by Fitzroy Gaynes. 
Nearly 25 years later, I am a BASe Master Trainer.  I am strong, mobile, injury-free and I never collected that prescription!
I am an ICF accredited life coach and find it hugely rewarding working with clients to change their limiting beliefs; of themselves and the world around them.  Because once you remove these self-imposed tethers and the fear surrounding them, you can achieve anything you put your mind to.
